Stanley S. Arkin, co-founder of The Arkin Group LLC, died on January 2nd, 2023. Over a 50-year legal career characterized by inventiveness, brilliance and tenacity, Stanley was one of the country’s foremost trial and appellate advocates who was lead counsel for some of the most significant business and securities cases of his time.
Stanley was a proud American who intersected with the intelligence world and Jack Devine when he provided pro bono representation to another CIA veteran. Stanley and Jack connected immediately around a shared vision of the exciting work they could do together, bringing world class strategic intelligence capabilities to the private sector.
Since 2000, The Arkin Group has provided judicious counsel, penetrating intelligence analysis, and an unparalleled network of intelligence and investigative assets to Fortune 100 companies and high net worth clients around the world, and it continues to do so. In addition to a business partnership, over their two decades’ collaboration, Stanley and Jack developed a deep and abiding friendship.
Stanley also was the co-founder of the Arkin Solbakkin LLP law firm, an author of a business and technology crime treatise, a regular columnist for the New York Law Journal, an Adjunct professor at NYU Law School, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Stanley will be greatly missed by all, and his spirit will live on in The Arkin Group.
